Craftyness: March 2012
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
March 18, 2012. I have become a little obsessed with aprons over the past few years. I've always loved them, especially retro or vintage ones, and it's so much fun that they are back in style now. I have been meaning to tell these apron stories for awhile now. Remember my best present ever. Tons of vintage fabric from my grandma? Turn it into an apron of course! The hard part of sewing those curved pieces was already done for me! Some of it was handsewn so I went over it with my machine to reinforce it.

Craftyness: Best. Present. Ever.
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010/09/best-present-ever.html
September 24, 2010. Best Present. Ever. The other day when Mom came home she had THREE big boxes that she had picked up from the Post Office. She had helped pack them while she was still in CA- boxes of vintage fabric, that is. my aunt and grandma had gone through stuff and sent it to us. I totally love vintage fabric and it's crazyness, so it was a great surprise! I love the teacups and teapots! This came with pieces cut out- appliques? Love the Raggedy Ann and Andy too! Craftyness: November 2010
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
November 19, 2010. Not bad, I was pleased. I found out later that my woodshop teacher had bought one of them! I don't think I ever got around to posting the rest of what I did in print class, I'll have to show that sometime. I would love to do more in that area, but the classes fill up crazy fast- way faster then the other studios. So here's what I won:. It's pretty large and I liked all the ornate frames- it made me think of the one I spraypainted black. Worth $9 to me. This is the one I wished I'd won:.

Craftyness: April 2010
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
April 14, 2010. It cracks me up how much I've been tied to the wedding industry, despite my Eternally Single status. I'm a wedding photographer after all (since 2001! And I worked for a year and a half registering couples at BB&B. An when I wasn't registering couples, I was helping people find registry gifts. I got some skillz. I can decipher those cryptic registries. I can giftwrap the oddest items. I can advise on registry etiquette (Do not register for a toilet brush! But I don't want to be a real lif...

Craftyness: January 2010
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
January 20, 2010. Yeah so this post is a wee bit late. Get over it! I don't have internet. Access at home while I'm on break and I love posting about Christmas. Maybe one of these days I'll come to grips that it's 2010! Anyhow, I probably should've. Showed this before Christmas, but maybe you remember this and do it next year. It's a fun photo trick, anyhow. I learned how to do this way back when I was in photo class but was reminded recently on Color Me Katie here. So how did I do this? January 13, 2010.

Craftyness: New and Improved
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010/02/new-and-improved.html
February 12, 2010. I finally finished my hot pad project- I got the templates here. It's called "Hot Seat"). Told you I want a red and aqua kitchen:. I liked the " dresden. Plate" look of the hot pad. The directions had me befuddled because they wanted you to attach the pieces to the center piece and. Sew up the sides to form the ring. So I did as directed and got a mess- I wondered if that would work out since even their example (which should be perfect) had bad puckering problems:. I was pleased with h...

Craftyness: April 2011
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 6, 2011. I participated in the Iron Craft. Challenge this week, which was to create a postcard. Since I love love love postcards, I couldn't pass it up! I have quite a collection going of vintage postcards. I had wanted to paint a postcard, but that wasn't going to happen. I decided to embroider a postcard. I've embroidered on scrapbook pages before, it's pretty fun. Here's some pages I did in the past with embroidery:. Even the wording was embroidered! I like butterflies. Who woulda thunk it?

Craftyness: October 2010
http://ohsocraftyness.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
October 28, 2010. I can't claim to have come up with this idea, I saw the idea here. On Betz White's craft blog and decided to try it myself. Out here it's pretty easy to find inexpensive (PA has plentiful antique malls and junk stores, I love it) handmade doily items, so I found some that were cute but that I wouldn't be pained to cut up. So you take your doilies. And find some wooden embroidery hoops. Paint the outer hoop black and leave the inner one natural. Add some ribbon and spiders and voila!
