Walking the Meseta | 2 Sisters Wandering
https://2sistersonthecamino.wordpress.com/2015/09/30/walking-the-meseta
Our Pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. September 30, 2015. Following Burgos we entered the region of Spain called the Meseta. Largely treeless and windblown, the Meseta is blistering hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. While the Meseta is known to be stark and arid we could easily see the beauty of its desert- like landscape. It seems endless and goes on and on. It’s sameness and endlessness is part of its beauty. Until next time,. About 2 Sisters Wandering. October 1, 2015 at 00:42.

Our Pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. On to O’Cebreiro. Onward to Santiago →. Cattle and Stone Walls. October 9, 2015. Today we walked 13 miles from Sarria to. Portomarin. It was a beautiful walk and perfect weather. Stone wall and moss. We call this stone wall and cow country. They are everywhere and we imagine the work and skill/art that went into crafting the dry stone walls. Dry stone walls are walls constructed without mortar. They go on for miles and miles. Truly beautiful. The town of Sarria.

Our Pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. The artist Gaudi in Astorga. On to O’Cebreiro →. October 7, 2015. We left Astorga early on Friday morning headed for the small village of Rabanal. Pilgrims taking a well deserved break. Around 10am we came across the perfect place to take our morning break–the lovely village of Santa Catalina (pop 50) with the cafe El Caminante serving cafe con leche and chocolate croissant. No wonder we are not losing weight on this journey. This is the cafe courtyard. You ar...

Last week I spent a lovely late afternoon with two friends at a local coffee shop. It was one of those special moments when we were not pressed for time, savored our time together and delved into discussing ideas about how we could better inform ourselves in the fast changing world of the internet and social media. LifeStoryCatcher is about capturing the stories of our lives. The stories written from the heart. It is a safe haven where we let our lives speak. I am a woman in transition on a wondrous journey to quench my heart’s desire. Not too long ago, I retired from the executive world of long days filled with run-on meetings that began and ended with a maddening commute. I entered the vast, fertile land of the “retired” life. Life is sooooo good. 3 responses to “. March 27, 2012 at 3:51 pm. You are commenting us...

Nicole & Julia's Big Trip
Nicole and Julias Big Trip. Sunday 25 July 2010. Goodbye Canada - Hello USA! So, from Vancouver we took the Bus to Seattle - took about four hours (a bit longer than expected because we got delayed at the border crossing). At the border, we had to get off the bus and into the building with our luggage in order to get checked. So we queued, got our visa checked, then our luggage checked and were then able to get back onto the bus. Seattle is a real cool city! Monday 28 June 2010. Vancouver was nice, just ...
